Is using ECQB obligatory for all EASA CAA?

Hi All,

Can you tell me if is it obligatory to use the European Central Question Bank (ECQB) for an EASA member CAA, or it is just optional and a CAA may use questions from other sources?

How does it work regarding PPL, CPL and ATPL. I mean is there a rule for example that allows using PPL questions from any source, but all ATPL questions must be from the ECQB, or something like this?

Thanks in advance

PPL is on national level, CPL/ATPL questions should be from the ECQB.

Thank you!

And what do you think how many question can be public? As far as I know for example at Austria Austrocontrol publishes 75% of their qustions.
