Type Rating on Cessna XLS - Worth it?

Hello,

I am considering to apply for a company which has Cessna Citation XLS as part of their fleet.
Would it be worth doing a Type Rating for this Aircraft and working for this company?
Are the hours viewed as the same on a XLS as for example, a B737/A320? (As its TOW is over 5700kg)

Would this be a good step as my first job? could I easily find a job in the aviation industry after I have 1,500 logged on the XLS?
