Pre-course study suggestions

Good Afternoon, All

Hope you're all doing well.

I was hoping for a bit of advice if possible.

I am due to start a residential ATPL theory course in the next couple of weeks and whilst my maths & Physics knowledge is average (at best), i was wondering if it would be more useful reading up on the old PPL books to help bolster that core understanding of some of the subjects, or would you recommend getting up to speed with things like changing the subject of a formula and basic trig etc...

I just don't want to mess this course up and i'm worrying!

Sorry if this has been asked several times.

Sam

Secret of Success

The secret of success on these courses is to plod at it.

Nothing difficult for those with the standard minimum of 5 GCSE(O) & 2 As.
Basic trig is an difficult as it gets.
Think of it as 12 O levels.

It is critical to do two to three hours private study 5-6 nights a week.
Use the seventh day to gently go over material from previous weeks' work.

Just let the osmosis work. Gently absorbing the material. High volume, low grade material.
KEEP ASKING yourself the question WHY............DONT TRY AND LEARN IT LIKE A HISTORY BOOK.

Trying to cram in a mad dash at the end simply will not work for 90% of junior birdmen.
