BA lack of response

Can anyone give me an estimate of the amount of time that BA (or, for that matter, any of the major airlines) take to actually reply to applications?

Is their level of apathy regardless of whether you're some Cambridge physics graduate who's been in the UAS or just a lowly old sod with a humble background (me being the latter)?

I can understand the number of applications that they receive is overwhelming but it would still be nice to hear something, in view of the fact that we've chosen to devote our working lives to aviation!

I wouldn't worry too much, it appears to vary quite considerably. Myself, I received a "Thankyou we are considering you application..." letter after about a week and a half... possibly two. I'd say it was about a month till I got the "Please come for aptitude blah blah...". I'm Sure you'll be fine... meanwhile take it easy and enjoy the Friday sunshine !!!

They can't refuse. Ask again.
