scholarships

:) does anyone know if any scholarships are available in the uk for pilot training, and is it possible to obtain employment with the training?

Not any really at the moment, Unless you count Malgus. I personally don't but there is plenty of info on this board to make up your own mind, so just do a search.

KLMUK was sponsorship a few months ago for those with PPL and a certain number of hours.

British European sponsorship ran last year, not sure if it will again but does require a 23k contribution. Never heard if anyone actually got it last time around.

Air2000 almost positive that will not run. same for BMI.

BA just going to have to wait and see. People think sometime in 2003, it could be later.

GAPAN run some forms of sponsorship, ie ppl and I think even a CPL one but no job guaranteed at the end.

The Air League offer around 50 scholarships each year. Most are for 15h but some are for the full PPL. I think there's web site, but hurry because this years applications have to be in by the end of this month.

Good Luck:)
