How hard is it to really find a job
I will be hopefully starting my aviation diploma in the fall(if im accepted) I was wondering, for starting off how hard is it really to find a first job in canada?
I heard unless your friends with someone already working at a company your pretty much "SOL" unless you do happen to get very lucky |
Although tough, it can be done if you have a good attitude and you're willing to work hard for awhile. It may involve moving to Yellowknife and loading bags for a year or so but if you put in your time and keep your head down there is no reason you won't succeed. Start with the attitude that everyone in your class and all your instructors are a potential job in the future and you won't go far wrong.

What is the best way to find a job?
I am ready to reloacate anywhere(except an overseas country where i dont know the language/culture) Take a road trip and just apply at various aviation companies, or is there a way where i can do it at home, and fax/e mail my resumes. how would i find the names and nuymbers of employers here in calgary? |
Get a copy of the CAA aircraft register if possible.
Here and in Oz the CAA publish a list of all aircraft registered in the country stating what the aircraft type is and who owns it. Youll prob. find your road trip more efficent if you only venture to the places who operate the aircraft your rated on. All the best - See you on the road! :D |
