credit for hours flown
hi all
i hold a recently issued EASA/CAA PPL.(full license obtained the long way not based on my FAA PPL) i have about 1000 hrs TT that i logged years ago in the usa with my FAA PPL/IR the question:will the easa/caa credit me for those hours if i want to apply them as flight experiance twards advanced ratings such as FI/IR/ATPL is there anything in cap804 or anywhere else that deals with this? |
Hours are hours. If you did them with a valid licence then they count. I think the only problem area is if you have any hours logged as PIC whilst another pilot was flying IFR (I don't know FAA rules really, but I believe this allows 2 pilots to log PIC at the same time in the US) then these hours will not count.

that's also what i thought but common sense and EASA don't always go hand in hand....
also,as a pre requisite prior to starting FI course they ask for 10 hrs of IMC training,do you think that my FAA IR training satisfies that requirement ? btw ,i have written the caa with those questions but i know that they take their time in replying and im looking to start FI course ASAP.. |
