Conversions!!
Hello,
I'm new to the forum, and I just have a few questions that I would like to ask, I am looking at doing an integrated flying course in South Africa with Progress Flight Academy, it will cost with flights there and medical just shy of 30k, I want to come back to the UK to fly commercially, a job on the cards already (just hour building really). What I would like to know is do I have to convert my licence to a UK CPL from an SA CPL? I have done some research and I have hit a brick wall.:ugh: How much will it cost and is there a quick way to do it? Thanks |
This seems to cover it:-
Commercial Pilot Flight Training, CPL, Flying Lessons, Stapleford Flight Centre, London, UK And this for the ground exams ATPL & CPL Conversions (Aircraft & Helicopters) | Bristol Groundschool |
Yes you will have to convert. You will need an EASA CPL, so you can convert in any European country that is a member of EASA.
Conversion costs will vary depending on the country of choice, but you can budget from €10,000 to €17,000. http://www.pprune.org/professional-p...5-figures.html |

Welcome to the Wannabee forums! You will find a wealth of information here and I hope you will enjoy your research! It appears that you have already had good responses to your question and as these threads have a habit of being 'hijacked' I shall close this one now. Wishing you success with your course HWB |
