Can you bring your instructor with you on the 300NM journey just to ensure you are flying to correct standard? Thanks.

you are supposed to be a PIC.. how are you a PIC if the instructor is there with you helping you?

Can this 300nm qxc be flown by a student? after all, if they are solo, then they must be PIC,

It's typically completed after your PPL skills test and as part of your hour building, so you wouldn't be a student, or am I misunderstanding your intentions?

I was just thinking of a scenario where someone had let there SEP lapse, any solo flying after that date, and before a test could be taken would be as a "student" but still log it as PI

The student would have to renew their SEP class rating, then undertake the 300nm flight - as mentioned the CPL QXC must be undertaken as PIC.

Section 12A here (assuming UK CAA): https://regulatorylibrary.caa.co.uk/...light=300%20nm

I think they're saying - can I fly my CPL XC whilst I'm doing my solo hours for the PPL?
