I'm afraid you are wrong about netherthorpe having the shortest licenced strip in th uk.
shortest licenced strip is westray in the orkney islands used by bn2 islanders 01/19 291M. :) :P ;)

Well, in that case, 291 metres in a C150 about ten year's ago. Papa Westray also and most of the others up there.

MS I bow to your greater knowledge. I thought only 09/27 was licenced at Westray. I didn't have a copy of the AIP here to check. Just goes to show you should never believe what the CFI tells you without checking for yourself.

just flown the approach to cov 35. very interesting since the building and it's high level lights were added to the threshold! not incredibly short, but how they got planning permission is.
just returned from staverton, they were sending acft around due to dogs on the active(who let the dogs out!!)
