Well what can i say, what a fantasic read. I feel that I now have some real insight in to what happens during the BA secection process. a huge thankyou :) to the author for putting in the time to write it, and further thaks to WGW for pointing me in it's direction.

I would reccommned a visit to the archive to any new wannabe for a read.

sorry to be a bore now, and i know it's all me me me, but is this still what to expect or have there been any changes recently to this or is it all still pretty much the same?

I think.....and someone correct me if I'm wrong.........but some of the details on the BA CEP are now slightly different.

But I might be wrong.

I wrote that way back when in early 1999.


Since then things have evolved slightly. They use Cranebank now - with BBC NEWS 24 in reception rather than those terrible BA promotional videos thingies they used to have - and they have tinkered with the interviews mostly by combining the pilot and HR interview into one. They sometimes revert though.

The groups exercise no longer uses KNEX but something aloong similar lines although the old KNEX pieces are still kept in a box behind the reception desk I note.

I would welcome an updated walk through of the process if anyone has been recently. Else I'll just have to apply again and go under cover myself! Be interesting when they reject me given that I now fly a BA owned and operated Boeing to BA SOP's in a BA uniform! Bet they would reject me though...

This is a question for WWW if you are reading or anyone else who may know the answer. The BA CEP posting that WWW wrote gives a few examples of the maths tests which BA trot out and they seem prety straight forward, but on a recent visit to the SHL Direct site I found that all the maths questions involve graphs, pie charts etc, so what I would like to know is, do the BA tests involve as many graphs etc as the SHL Direct tests as I found this quite time consuming???(although I still managed to knock off 12/17 in the ten minuet test they do.) :)
