How long before IR has to renewed?
 

Hi, I have an expired ME/IR. IR expired on may 2009, I continued on IMCr privilege`s.
My query is how long before I would have to complete IR written exams?
I currently Instruct at PPL level and seriously considering SE/IR to revalidate the IR, until I justify stepping up to ME/IR again
Any advice would be appreciated.

There are no problem doing a SPA single engine IR to keep it current.

Stop knobbing around and get it done. But for your MEP you may need to pay to get the rating back on be warned

I have just revalidated my FI rating so IR will be next when the funds build up again.
Going down the SPA/IR route then and keep my IR skills current.
I now live in S.Wales and the chances of ME work around here is Zero:ugh:
