Canadian CPL/FAA

Hey there,

I am a FAA private with complex,m high performance and float rating and a CAA private aswell with about 300 hours.I am looking to live in Canada and work as either an instructor or float plane pilot.Whats the best route? Is it better/cheaper to doan FAA CPL and CFI and then convert to a canadian or do a canadian CPL/CFI?I'm looking to do this all accelerated training. What is the job options in canada at the moment for instructors?

Any advice would be much appreciated

If you really want to fly and instruct in Canada you would be wise to do your training in Canada. It's not what you know, it's who you know that gets you the jobs.

CASA to Transport Canada

On the words of conversion, has anyone converted from CASA to Transport Canada who can share some of their experience?

From Transport Canada's site, seems like for CPL and ME-CIR, a flight test needs to be done for both? If I wanted to do a instructor rating in Australia and then convert what would be the process, would that allow a skip in the previous flight tests?

Harv's air would be a good start - Harv's Air Pilot Training, Flight Training School » Learn to Fly!
