How much did you borrow??

I am looking to start ground school qt OATS towards the end August (20th) I think? I already have my PPL and about 65 hours total, I have worked out that doing the course the modualr way its going to take me 2 years, I have been recently looking at loans etc..

I just wanted to know how much some of you guys borrowed to help and what the repayments are like a month?

Thanks in advance.

Hi
Sorry bout the test but i am a virgin at this site.
I'm 32 155TT IMC Night Multi
which i have done over the past 4 years when finance/confidence permitted so I am not to sure how much I have spent so far . May be 10,000.
I am now half way through my ATPL exams full time at PPSC .
I gave up a 30,000 a year job , sold my house
and had to give away my Dog smudge to my sister-in-law in Kent . Selling the house from under my wifes feet was easy compaired to the heart break of parting with my loyal and bestest mate.
In real terms the training once compleated will have cost me around £100,000
30,000 training
45,000 18months lost earnings
25,000 equity lost in my property, ie,I will not be able to buy the same house at the price I payed .
I hope employers (who I think should pay a substantial amounts towards this training:mad :)
will one day realise the kind of commitment we put in to become pilots

Sorry if this sounds like a moan

Pie.

P.S. I've noticed some people using a smiley face that's Hula-dancing in a grass skirt. Anybody know how to get me one o' them?
