ATPL's - IAA or CAA

Afternoon folks. Another fresh PPL guy here looking for some words of wisdom. I couldn't find any answers to my queries else where on these forums so apologese if this has been covered.

Basically i have just recieved a CAA ppl and i'm looking to get cracking on the atpl's via distance learning and not waste any time. I've chosen Bristol as the system i want to use to get me there after some research and advice however my question is this.

Do i do the atpl's through Bristol themselves or stick local and do it via PTC here in ireland?

The prices won't be too far apart thanks to high irish exam fees.
And just for the record i'm leaning towards the CAA bristol route. Seems more tried and tested. The only thing that would hold me back is the effort of finding accom and transport.

If anyone could voice their experiences or even just their opinion that would be great, thanks.

Finding accomodation is no problem as long as you do it in advance. Bristol GS has a list of recommended places to stay on their site.

For the recommended list...

As far as transportation, to get to Bristol, you can take a plane. Then take a taxi from the airport to Cheddar.

From Cheddar to Gatwick, there is the Bus, Train, or you can hire a car and drive.

Lots of foreigners in my class, Norway, Sweden, France, Italy, Russia, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Morocco, and more. It wasn´t too difficult for them doing the Bristol route, figuring out accomodation and transportation. BGS also has their own forum for support and you can arrange transport with other students. I personally recommend it.
