Need immediate assistance. Tests tomorrow!

Hello,

I am going to take my Air law, and general technical knoweldge written exams tomorrow, and I found myself stuck with something a day before my test.

1) How do you figure your TORA, TODA, and ASDA.
I was under the assumption that .

TORA = RUNWAY length + stopway

TODA = Runway length + clearway

ASDA = runwaylength + stopway

where do i add a displaced threshold if there is one? Any of the above?

Thanks,
CG

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't TORA just the runway length?

Also, I believe displacement only affects the LDA by the amount of displacement, for that direction of approach. maybe someone can confirm that!

TORA: 'The length of runway declared available and suitable for the ground run of an aeroplane taking off' (includes any displacement). Published in the AIP AD2.

Tea and medals for Paco.

LDA: 'The length of runway which is declared available and suitable for the ground run of an aeroplane landing' (excludes any displacement).

Example - RWY 03 Cranfield (EGTC) TORA: 1799m, LDA: 1594m

ASDA: TORA + stopway

The displaced threshold only comes in the TORA calculation given in AIP AD2, so you won't have to consider where to 'add' a displaced threshold, just know what markings you are looking at on the ground.
