FAA or CAA Pilot training?

Hey

New to the forum and looking into training for my PPL and CPL in fixed wing.

Was wondering if it would be better to do my training in the USA or in South Africa where I currently reside.

Also which one would be more sought after work wise or does it no matter.
Was told by my dad who is an avionics tech that, if I do either and work in the opposite allowed country that I would only need to do a Validation and Air law exam to be able to fly in that respective country.

Any advice and knowledge would be welcome :)

Thanks
H

If you are going to stay in Afrika then it would not matter , I think my personal preference would be FAA as many African licences are not that well accepted . I have a FAA with a SA CAA validation

Well i"m south african living in cape town but looking at moving to the usa in a few years, just dont want to be restricting my work chances with either license.

So hence the question if the cost of doing my FAA CPL in the USA is worth it.

Thanks for the response.

your thought process should work on this, as the US is still the least expensive, plus most qualitative country to do one's training
