How to restore my pilot license?

Hi, guys,
I'm a pilot - used to fly IL-76. (former USSR, Ukraine) Last flight had in 1998. So, over 10 didn't fly. Pilot license is expired. Now, I live in Canada (citizen). My dream to live in Germany and fly in Lufthansa. What can I do for achieve my goal?

First of all, what kind of a license did you have? ICAO? Canadian? FAA???? But no matter what, you need JAA/EASA to fly in Europe. To get it, its up to how many hours in type you have. You may need to take all 14 written exams plus checkrides.

I meant that big air company like Lufthansa might have special programs (cadet programs) . For such big companies (if they in demand of pilots of course) cheaper to restore pilots like me for approximately 6 months than prepare young boys from 0 for few years
