PFT Bournemouth

Just thought I'd drop a line to say I have started my MEP,IR and CPL at PFT in Bournemouth and 1 week in I can't fault it great instruction and fantastic facilities and great bunch of students.... only wish they had been doing PPL and hour building when I started so I could have done the whole lot in one place....(Which they do now).

Cheers

OOh What a premeditated shameless plug , if only their results were as good as the plug

potkettleblack 1st July 2009 11:03

And how come they chose a name that is one letter away from a well respected and long established school based at the same airfield that has high pass rates? Coincidence or what?

matty31 1st July 2009 12:28

Shameless plug..??
Well if you think sharing your experience at a particular school shameless then I guess it is! I just know its hard deciding where to spend your hard earned cash is a minefield and I think PFT is defiantly worth your consideration when choosing.

Feel free to put the case for the schools you both work for although probably better to start your own thread for that rather than hijacking this one...:D

I am a student at PFT I'm guessing neither of you are or have been?

matty,

Looking at the PFT website and in particular capt boulton's bio,

'Combining his corporate flying in the Jetstream Citation with Charter flying for A & G Aviation, Captain Boulton doesn't like to be grounded for too long'

can you indulge me as to waht type of aircraft a jetstream citation is and also perhaps when capt Boulton last flew an aircraft ????

I won't hear a bad word about Mike Boulton, he's a very good instructor, a gentleman, and a pro. He did my sim training many years ago, and I know he did charter ops, although I'm sure it wasn't a Jetsream Citation!

I see that Matty31 has at least moved on from shamelessly making plugs for Skymates. :D:}

I have only commented on schools I have been to and thought where good!!!

When I started training I found it very useful to look at the comments students past and present had made about various schools and this lead me partly to make the decisions I have made regarding where to train.

I have also discovered that there are allot of people on pprune with either a professional interest in bad mouthing schools or just have nothing better to do!

I can justify the comments I have made regarding both PFT and skymates having been to and experienced both..... wouldn't like to comment on anywhere I haven't been... unlike some others:)

Cheers

Matty31

It started with CATS....then it was Skymates...now its PFT.

You've been pulled up for it several times, lastly by Alex Whittingham.

You may be a student for all I know, but if you are you seem to do a really good job looking like a person who works at a school, plugging his
products on pprune!!

:D

matty31 2nd July 2009 13:02

I am a student and have never been paid any money by any school what is so weird about writing about the schools I have been to? I have also attended a flight school in Greece for my PPL, but have never mentioned them due to not feeling able to recommend them.

Not sure what you mean about being pulled up by anyone I'm sure WWW would let me know if he had a problem with the posts I have made!

why don't you tell us your experiences which may help myself and others with the very hard decisions that are flight training.

Regards

Matty

well matty when you get a first time or first series cpl/ir pass let us know , they will widely plug that as they dont get many , results speak for themselves , if in doubt ask the caa , they are only a few hundred yards away
