B737NG-B777 Transition

Hi! Does anyone know how many days/sim hours of course are required for a transition from a B737NG to a B777 aircraft?
Do we have to undergo a new full type rating or is similar to the Airbus upgrading concept?

Its a full TR. The only Boeing a/c that have a similar Type Rating are the 757/76 which can be flown simultaneous subject to completing the appropriate differences and sim training. Although I am not sure how long this process is.

Currently Boeing does not follow Airbus' concept of a producing a standardised flight deck across all models. However the 787 will probably start this philosophy. There are 'rumours' that the 777/787 will be a dual rating type rating similar to the 757/767.

Just to further not answer your question. 737-Classics/NG are a common type rating for which the candidate need only cover differences training which is fairly trivial. The 737NG uses slightly less steam power than the Classic and utilises more of this new fangled elastictrickery. I doubt it will catch on though.
