Reactivate JAR ATPL
 

Hi,

I had a JAR ATPL before I moved to the US to work for a part 121 operator. I have been employed since then, but I am looking at going back to Europe. I have not taken any checkride for my JAR license and no medical since 2001.
What would be the cheapest way to reactivate my JAR ATPL in order to look for a job in Europe ?
I was told I need a medical class 1 and a simple checkride (even in a Single Engine), with a JAR approved examiner. Is this correct ?


A European friend of mine is also looking to do the same thing, but he never got his JAR ATPL in the first place. He's also flying for a part 121 in the US. What does he have to do ?
