Twin Otter (On Floats)
Hello there!
Can anyone guide me to a training provider for Twin Otter's?, also any floated Otter training available? Does anyone know what Authority the Maldives operate under? FAA JAA? Thanks in adavnce Flash |
It's not FAA nor JAA.
They accept anything for validation if you meet their requirements: http://www.aviainfo.gov.mv/downloads.../plm_p2_c1.pdf All info about flying in the Maldives is found on the CAD website: www.aviainfo.gov.mv If you ever land on a Trans Maldivian Airways Twin-Otter, you're welcome to send me your thoughts about the bird. They're looking for 250TT first officers. |
I think I seen a school in canada that uses a twin otter and do type ratings on floats but try this place http://www.twinair.ch/site.php?menuI...kID=5&siteID=1 they dont have floats but I am sure if you have a float rating you just need to be type rated for an Otter then your float rating covers you for flying an otter on floats. good luck :ok:

If you're trying to get a job there don't throw your money training yourself, they will do it for you anyway. Also you don't need a AMES (Airplane Multi Engine Sea) in case you have an FAA license.... an ASES is enough as they don't make that distinction in the Maldives.

Met the Owner of TMA when we went there on holiday a few years ago. He seems avery nice man and said he always tries to meet his planes either going out or back.
Good luck seems a nice place to work. |
