Question bank FAA "instrument foreign pilot"

Hi

Has any one come across a free downloadable concise question bank, for the written faa exam, to convert a UKCAAJAR IR to an FAA IR. The FAA exam is "Instrument Foreign Pilot"

Be grateful for a link, even better if you have used it sucessfully?

You'll need to do more than pass the exam. FAA IR test involves a substantial oral exam prior to the flight test during which you get grilled senseless on IR and FAR stuff. You can blitz the exam with a question bank, sure, but there's no way you'll pass the oral without genuinely knowing your stuff.

You can add a foreign IR to a US restrictde license based on a foreign license.

http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certific..._verification/

However you can't use a foreign IR on the back of a "restricted" to apply for a US CPL IR.
You would need to take the US IR practical test.

In short, you can fly IFR in the US on a "converted" foreign IR but you cannot use it towards the application of a more advanced license or rating.
