books to understand meteorology and gen nav

please, need advice which books can help me for this 2x subjects. I have Notes from BGS, but it is unfort. not enough for me or too complex written to undestand properly :ugh:

what about book from Jeppesen "Aviation Weather" ?
http://www.flightstore.co.uk/jeppese....55.dept_l3.0/
is it ok and easy to understand or it too much FAA orientated and not enough information what JAA ATPL syllabus requires?

I need books with most easy to understand material and a lot colour illustrations off couse! For any information regarding this two subjects i will be very happy and thankful;)

is this the same book? http://www.flightstore.co.uk/jar_pro....62.dept_l3.0/

Yes, it is the same book.

However, don't be too concerned - I found that once I got on the brush-up course and could have some individual help, it all fell into place. Maybe it sounds as if you could do with some one-to-one tuition.

Cheers

Although not a book, I highly recommend the oxford met cd.

The Met was complete gibberish until i went through it with the cd and took notes etc as i was doing it.

first time taking met failed miserably, got high 90's the second time.

got MET CD today, it helps ;)

regarding JAR Professional Pilot Studies i can not say that it is easier to read and understand. It just a lot of information pressed in one book. Nice to keep for technical interview, but not help me now, because i just started study and need a lot of color pictures and very very easy axplanations :) I am sure that later in couple of mounth i will use this book to doublecheck knowledge and as additional aid is very good!

Got this book yesterday, stitched pages could be better than just sticked together with glue ;)
