what qualifications are needed to become a pilot

I am 17 years old, male, from Sri Lanka. I want to become a pilot (prof).
I'm doing G.C.E. Advanced Level - Maths Stream.

What more educational qualification do I need ?

How much will it costs for the studies (in dollars plz) ? Because I tried for an airline sponsorship and learned that it was no easy for me.

What about flying clubs and flying schools, I dont understand ?
