SVFR

Trying to find out if one may fly under Special VFR within a CTR, doing circuits? Or is SVFR just for leaving the zone for the purposes of a cross country flight? Cant seem to get clarity from the law books....

Tks in advance,
JJ

In holland it is allowed...the minima even get higher if you stay in the circuit.

Within the CTR (Which is class C here) you will need at least 3000M visibility. At some airports, you can get a clearance to stay in the circuit, and you will need 1500M. Cloudbase should be at least 600 FT in both cases. The clearance to stay in the circuit will only be given to a maximum of two aircraft at the same time.

These SVFR rules are very airport and country specific, so I think you should check the AIP.

Read this flie. Page 18 is all about SVFR rules. I states that you will be cleared SVFR when not under VFR.
Too long to explain, just read and ask if you don't understand.
