FTO or TRTO
 

Hey everyone,
I am converting my FAA ATPL to CAA/JAA ATPL.
Here's my stats before I get into it:
All 14 exams are complete
MCC exempt
FAA ATPL ME, CRJ SIC
3500TT w/1000 ME
I am trying to figure the most cost effective way to move to EU.
Type ratings, once you ask for JAA, triple in price compared to the FAA ones.
A320 is 16000EUR plus the base check
B737 is about the same
IR/ME + CPL runs about 6000 GBP.
Comparing the courses, the price difference is bearable (if you don't count the base check)
Does anyone know where and if the ME/IR CPL combo can be done cheaper than that? (if at all possible)
I heard of a place in Spain where a good number of pilots go to train.
As far as TRTO does anyone know of any place that is cheaper than those numbers (the prices are Randhem aviation quotes)
Please let me know. I really would like this done ASAP.


Oh yes, I also have a letter from Gatwick allowing me to enroll to a type rating course w/o needing to have my JAA CPL IR ME
