from CPL to ATPL

hello every one ...

i hold a UK CPL issued in accordance with ICAO and JAR-FCL standards , the licence issued on july 2003.

the method of my study in UK was on single engine and multi engine with IR to get the CPL and the FROZEN ATPL.

they ( the school ) told me that once i collect +1500 hrs of flying i will get ATPL in my country which is a recognised ICAO member.

now i have the ATPL from the DGCA of my country.

the question is : how do i get the CAA or JAA ATPL....?

a freind of mine told that i have to take my log book and my country ATPL and a letter from the airline i work with to indicate that i have really collected +1500 hrs and then go the CAA in gatwick airport ( UK )...is that true....any other suggestions from you guys ?

does any body know the e-mail for the CAA in gatwick so i can contact them .

and by the end , do i need really to do all this , or the ATPL issued from my country is enough ...and i am rated on A300, A310 and A320. my UK CPL expires on 2013...should i re-new it ?

Worth giving the CAA an email as they can best advise for your specific circumstances.
