Pilot Medicals in India

Hi Everyone,

I live in Sydney and planning to take my CPL in california and then go back to India after finishing as i have a dual Australian\Indian citizenship to find a start up job. I have a class 1 australian medical but have been advised that the indian medical has much tougher standards and it is a good idea to go through that before proceeding with my flying training. Can anyone please advice on the procedure for the same??? I was told that you have to be enrolled in a flying school in India before you can even apply for a medical...Is that true? What sylabus should i be looking at in terms of conversion exams conducted by DGCA? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
