Notams

I'm looking to start my PPL next year and trying to start studying now. Does anyone know where I can learn about Notams? I have picked quite abit of info from the pilots that I have dealt with in the past but really need to study properly, would appreciate any help.

If you haven't already done so create an account here: www.ais.org.uk and download the latest NOTAM. Much of it maybe incomprehensible until you have swallowed Thom Book 1 (Air Law) and actually started to use it in anger.

Notice To Airmen

A NOTAM is a notice containing information concerning the establishment, condition or change to any aeronautical facility, service, procedure or hazard the timely knowledge of which is essential to personnel engaged in flight operations.
