Met training... Provided by, the met office!

Hi guys, just wondered if anybody out there has done the met training for aviators provided by the met office, it's a weekend course and costs a few hundred... I just wondered if it's actually worth while doing it. I know the PPL gives you the basic knowledge, but I do rather like the idea of hanging on to my £££ as long as possible, so don't want to spend the cash if it's not totally worth it!

Advice please guys and gals:D

I would imagine the course would be very good, however, if you don't have the cash, it might be worth spending fifty quid of the Oxford ATPL Met CD, it is very good.

On the other hand I am sure your instructor Steve would sit you down in the classroom for a few hours on a rainy day and give you the MET briefing of your life ;).
