Small HPL Q
 
Would be grateful for some help with this one:

Q. Gases of physiological importance to man are?
a) Oxygen and carbon dioxide
b) Nitrogen and carbon dioxide
c) Oxygen and carbon monoxide
d) Oxygen, nitrogen and water vapour


Thnak you in advance for any assistance.

Answer - A

You need oxygen to live, we expell CO2, and when CO2 is flushed from our blood (as in hyperventalation) bad things can happen.


PS- Remember on Apollo 13, the race to make a CO2 scrubber?
