an odd email

Dear *****

We are absolutely delighted that you have obtained airline employment so soon after completing your course of APP training. You have invested a tremendous amount of hard work and money into your future career as an airline pilot for which you should be rightly proud. An aspect of the service offered by OAT through the APP is the identification and subsequent recommendation to fill potential First Officer employment opportunities with airlines. Naturally, we too are very proud both of your achievement and our positive endeavours. To that end we would very much like to tell others about our ’Graduate Employment Successes’. This would be through our training brochures, our website and colourful displays in our training centres.

Rest assured, we will not do so, without first obtaining your consent and listed below is the type of information we would like to be able to display:

Q Your Name

Q APP Course number

Q Name of Airline you are working for

Q Picture (of you in uniform – optional but preferable!)

If you are also happy to provide us with some comments on your experience at OAT or describe your feelings on obtaining your first airline position that also would be helpful. Again - optional but greatly appreciated.

However, if you would prefer not to be included in our publicity materials we will of course, respect your wishes.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Has anybody else recieved this email from Oxford, im unsure if it is an advertisement or a mistake. I have never signed up to an Oxford mailing list and have not even gone near the school. If its genuine do I count towards their employment statistics?

Regards

Steve
