Can I Achieve, Help

I ve learnt loads in the past 24 hours since joining this site, its great.
I do need some advice from people currently training or looking to start though.
I was an aircraft engineer for 8 years in the RN up to recentlybut now like alot badly want to fly.
One little problem stands in my way though, where the hell do i go, what exactly do i need to get employed, do i go to america(is it cheaper) help !

Basically i want to go intergrated route as soon as. I have about £35,000(alot of saving and being boring) but is this really enough. do i have to get a type rating or wait till employment.
I was considering stapleford fliht center, but it cost another 25 big ones for the type rating and mcc is this good or a bad idea

My god how many questions do i want to ask
