Whats the modular route? (For Mark)
Hello everyone
i am afraid I am one of the old crusty airline pilots who came up via the instructor route. A friend of mine asked me the other day how he could become an airline pilot and I could not provide the answer(I am still wondering how I made it!) I know there is a modular route but apart from the obvious whats it all about, can anyone layout the basics for my pal Mark who will be looking on here tonight? (Hello Mark!) I believe you have to have around a 100 hours P1, can anyone suggest how u can get these as cheaply as possible. Mine cost £5 per hour, i just looked through Flight and found the cheapest club. I think some of you go to the US now or even buy a share in an aircraft. What ab oops i got cut off is the city of london polytechnic still going at the minories, tower hill, thats were i did the writtens as it was the cheapest. evertime I turn onto 27R I am reminded of the pain and the money! can you use those stick type aircraft that seem to fly at the stall all the time to build up hours |
