Performance Exam - Study Material?

Hi all,

I need to take the UK JAR Performance exam in the next few weeks (I didn't take the Perf A exam under the old system).

Can anyone please recommend some good study material to get me through the exam? I know Bristol GS do a set of notes for £85, but I'd like to keep the cost down if possible. If there are no suitable and cheaper alternatives, I'll have to buy their notes.

Thanks in advance

Performance Theory for Pilots by P J Swatton

Very good book and costs £25.99 this should be sufficient if you have a good understanding of Principles of Flight.

All the best - probably see you at next months exam sitting.

Thanks Jinkster

Not too bad with PoF so I'll give it a look. One advantage the Bristol GS notes may have is sample questions representative of the exam.

Do you know if the book you mention has sample questions?

TIA

The book does have study questions, if you send me a PM I can sort you out with some exam type questions for performance.

Hi Jinkster,

I've PM'd you but it doesn't show in my Sent Items.

Did you get it?

Cheers

Go with the Bristol Groundschool Notes. Iwas fine with POF, but Swattons book is too hard going for exam revision. There are questions in it. but nothing like the exam.
The Bristol Notes are spot on and 85 pounds for a first time pass is cheaper than 2 resits and tender nerves to make the four attempts..

Typical!

I order the book and THEN someone tells me not to bother.

Sods law!

Does anybody else have experience of this book?

Should I cancel the order?

Thanks
