New Technology Vs Old?

If as a newly qualified professional pilot one was given the choice of flying State of the art Glass on a turbo prop (D328 Q400) or an older technology jet (146-200) An unlikely situation I know but what would be the better decision? I realise Jet time is a requirement for many companies however surely flying glass would have to give some advantages, as a pilot climbing the career ladder will likely find him/herself flying glass.

Jet. No contest.

I agree with Notso. Jet would be my choice. A jet with clockwork instrumentation is much harder to operate than a turbine with full glass. Glass is easy to learn and fly (that's the main reason we have it - along with cost). You crack that 146 on dials, you'll have no problem with any commercial jet on glass later on in life. Make it a 727, you'd crack fighters too!
