Do you use Elite Flight Sim?
I use FLY! 2K for practicing instrument flying. It doesn't have much statistical functionality, such as a review of the ILS approach, but its good for panel flying.
Having looked on their web-site, I am still wondering what justifies paying the extra money for Elite? Thank you, PA28. |
I've used the Elite sim. It's very good, a lot of attention to detail has gone into it. It even has ADF dip. It is possible to view your flying both in plan and side profile view.
It certainly does improve your scan. |
PA28 - I've got Elite, latest version, 7 I think. It is excellent, I like the trace you get on the map, both in plan and elevation, so you can see how you did in a hold or approach. All the airports seem to be in there, I have it with a yoke and pedals.
However, I bought FS2004 a few months back, for playing with really, but the IFR work there is almost as good as Elite I think, and is about a quarter of the price. So, I'd say you are better off with FS2004 and save some money. |
redsnail,

Hello,
anyone know if Jeppesen FlitePro IFR Simulator is any good? thanks:confused: |
I thought the elite fpn* flight sim's were unique to the complete simulators used by flight learning centres with sit-in cockpits etc.
