atpl training question
Hi to everyone,
I have a question regarding atpl training. I hold Canadian cpl me/ifr and I’m interested in doing distant learning jaa atpl ground course. Now I’m wondering what are the jaa rules concerning the training? Can I do my written part of atpl in one of the jaa countries and continue my flying and practical exams in the other jaa member country. I would appreciate all the replies that could give me the details regarding my question. sajko |
The rules used to go like this:
Every part of your license (i.e. writtens, medical, practical tests) must be done at a school authorised by one single authority. Ratings, however (i.e. IR and type/class ratings) could be done in any JAR country, including a country other than the one which issued your license. However, I believe the rules are changing, or have recently changed. The best advice is to speak to the authorities in all the States in question, and get replies from them in writing.
