First Types

Hi;
Can anyone tell me if there is a limit on what your first type rating can be when you have just got your f/atpl?

In other words could your first job be on a long haul A330 or must you first build hours on a smaller short haul plane and then get promoted upwards? Are there any classifications?

With a Frozen ATPL you can get a type rating on anything. However your dreaming it you expect it to be a long haul A340!! If you are very lucky it might just possibly be a jet!
