Certificate of Test
Assistant Flying Instructor - no longer in use, replaced by FI(R) under JAR
Qualified Flying Instructor - military term meaning an instructor who has attained an RAF instructional category awarded by CFS.

FI(R)= Flight Instructor (Restricted)
JAR=Joint Aviation Regulations
CFS=Central Flying School
RAF= you'd better know what that means! :D
