first officer course (USA), anyone knows about them?

I am a pilot from spain and have 560tt.I have been looking into doing a first officer course in the US, either on a turbo prop or a jet, they consist of more or loss 500-800 hours. I have seen many differnt companies Rainbow, ASG-jet, eagle... I was wondering if anyone has done one of these courses or knows someone who has. The reason ask is because they ask for the money upfront and I donŽt know anything about them!!!
Regards,
Richard

I work for Rainbow, and can assure you that we have been in business since 1979, and are a reputable company.
I'm one of the Instructors and can, if you want, send you more information on our courses, and references from students of mine on a similar course.

Just be sure that the school / program can issue a M-1 Student visa. Make sure it is actually the place you are sending your money that is issuing the visa as some providers "buy" visas from other schools.

Training in aircraft over 12,500 pounds is very difficult (if not currently legally impossible) as there is no procedure yet in place to comply with the so called 12,5 rule that was put in place Novemer 2001...it is in the works but currently you would only be allowed to train on aircraft over 12,500 pounds if you are a US citizen or have a previous type rating working for an airline...

Good luck!

I thank both of you the messages you sent me, any info I can get is a great help. IŽll get back to you when I make a final agreement. Thanks,
