Anyone booked on the June Bristol Course?

Just wondered if anyone is booked on to the Bristol course in June (23rd June to 4th July).

I'm about to arrange accommodation and wondered if anyone has already booked in (or wants to book in with some other person on a Bristol course).

I've got the list of B&B's etc from Noush, and would prefer to share with someone on the Bristol Course. (I am doing module 1).

Bodie,

Try the Bristol forum, then go into Accomodation.

Mrs SkyToddler is booked on the June course (also doing module 1), and might be interested in B&B sharing with a female wannabe ... give us a PM if you qualify, Bodie :)

I'm a male wannabe, but am quite willing to share with females ;) Purely from an equality standpoint, of course.

Was hoping to be but dependent on study and leave....

Out of interest where's the Bristol Forum? Have I missed something?

then click on the link from that page.

It went live on 22nd January this year.

Haven't checked out accomodation yet. Will probably stay at Bristol Hilton I'd imagine....... not.

Can someone here tell me which one of those schools in Britain offering distance learning is considered the best?

Thanks in advance.

Heli-Ice,

If you're going to ask a question like that on a Bristol thread, then it's only going to be read by Bristol students. So guess what will happen? Everyone will recommend Bristol, and no one will have any first-hand experience of any other school!

If you want a slightly less biassed answer, you'll need to start a new thread. Or, even better, search for any one of the hundreds of previous threads asking exactly the same question. You'll find that the vast majority of people have only been to one school, so they can't compare it to anywhere else, and that's where they will recommend (unless it was really bad). The only way to find out which school is best for you is to contact every single one of them, and visit as many as possible.

I'm on the mod 2 phase at Bristol on the above dates and will be staying (again) at Marys (Manor farm) which is in the list provided by Bristol.

Marys' a great host and puts on a continental style breakfast in the morning (although you wont actually see her as she's a night bird) and then a great 3 course meal in the evening. It costs £75 for 5 days which I think is good VFM.

I'm convinced she is an ex airline pilot as she understands all the jargon.

The farm is some way from the groundschool (half an hours drive) but don't let that put you off as to be honest, after a full day in the class room you will need the time to unwind before you get stuck into the books in the evening. I think she has 4 rooms and I know 2 of them are booked already. When I sat mod1 last year each person took a turn at driving through the week so it wasn't bad on petrol and there is off road parking

Each room has a desk and table and is well suited to study.

Do yourself a favour and book in there. When you have, drop me an e mail to introduce yourself and I'll see you in June.

good luck
