33Yrs old this march.. too late to start ?
 

As the heading makes clear is it still viable for me to start training from PPL to Frozen?

I`ll be 33Yrs this march 2002 and have just managed to scrape the required fees together

What are the chances of getting a job at the end of the course considering it would take 18 months to complete if I start in Jan or Feb 2002

I plan to take training in the states

I don't think it's to late at all, I know some one who has turned 40 and just finished his CPL/IR. He's now flying charters.

never too late.I started my ppl in 1996 when i was 35.Now i am atp with a job and i really enjoy.
It will longer for you than for young, but if you love flying no problemo..

I'm 33 in January by which time I hope to have completed my CPL/IR .
If you want a career in aviation bad enough ,then you will get it .But you really gotta want it bad enough .

Hoping to get CPL\IR finished by Feb when I'll be knocking on 40.Maturity can't be a bad thing, just hope things pick up in the spring.As everyone says if you want it bad enough go get it, it's to late when your dead.

No problem at all, and it puts you in a better position in some ways than if you had your CPL/IR now since the job situation is likely to be somewhat better in 2 years or so than it is now. You lucky ****** you.

You really have to wan't it bad enough. I done a 509 course and gave myself 2 years after completion to find myself employment. I started the course at 33 and it did take 18 months to complete. Immediately after my IR, spent another £5000 to complete my instructors rating as well as practically stalking 2 airlines recruiting officers at every conference and opportunity. It paided off and was taken on by BRAL within six months of my IR. Be determined and nver accept defeat. Good Luck
