Need help sorting flight time

I am filling in an application for an Irish License. I have FAA licenses and completed all the necessary hoops to "convert" to CPL ME/IR.. .. .One last obstacle - the application form. I need help understanding how I should count my flight time. You guys have PIC, PIC U/S, P.2, Dual and Solo. Can some kind sole explain what I should log as PIC U/S and P.2? Is that for multi crew airplanes only? . .. .Thanks in advance!. .Ray

I had similar problems and this is how I resolved it. . .P1/PIC basicaly in command, NO INSTRUCTOR ie captain of a multi crew aircraft or single man opperations (your IR,CPL trainning is NOT PIC). . .. .PIC U/S, your ppl, ir, me, cpl, cfi, cfii, type rating check rides. Only the ones you passed count, failures and pink slips don't.. .. .Dual, with instructor, flight taken under instruction with a CFI/CFII.. .. .Solo, as per P1/Pic but as the name suggests 'solo'.. .. .P2, second incommand ie first officer on a multi crew aircraft.. .. .If you you read the regs you will find them a bit more wordy but I think you will find this description covers it.. .. .Hope this helps <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" />

Well summarised.. .. .Could add that any check ride you have failed should be logged as P.u/t (pilot under training or 'dual').. .. .Strictly speaking you can only claim PIC U/S or P1/s if the flight has been countersigned in your logbook by the 'real' captain. If you have some other evidence of doing that flight and passing the test then that would probably be sufficient.. .. .Although P1/s or PIC U/S hours go in the P.1 column in your logbook, when they specifically ask how many 'SOLO' hours you have you should not include them in the total.. .. .I hope I have not completely confused you now.. .. .Cheers
