I love em! a bit heavy on the elevator at t/o and landing but otherwise very stable.....a pleasure to fly

Enjoy!

Flew a Seneca 5 as part of my training, and agree with the above post. A bit heavy during takeoff and flare, but then again, it is a bigger airplane, hence that 'heavy' feeling. Performance not bad eith, we had three blade MacCauley props.

The one negative thing about the Seneca V, and I mean REALLY bad, is its useful load, or should I say useless load. If you fill up the tanks completel (good for close to 5 hours endurance) there is enough weight to spare for yourself, another grown up in the front seat, plus a couple of golf bags or a kid (or your model girlfriend, weighing in at 55 kgs! :)) in the back. I remember filling it up with 4 adults and myself, we were going to fly to an airport 50 NM away. Well, because we all weighed so much, couldn't take enough fuel along for an IFR flight (fuel to alternate, holding etc.), so the only way we could do it was to fly VFR! Fun flight anyway, flying 500 ft off the deck in a twin, but how useless is it as a 6-seater?

Happy flying (if it is only you and one or two others!)
