ATPL theory requirements for joint CAA/EASA CPL

Hello, just trying to understand my options for next steps. Currently finishing up my EASA ATPL exams with an eye on getting both UK CAA and EASA CPL MEIR. I'm planning to repeat the exams with UK CAA at the end of the year/start of next year.

I know that the ATPL theory is a pre-requisite to starting the CPL course. Does anyone know if it's required to have the CAA ATPLs completed before starting a joint CAA/EASA CPL course?

Yes, if you want it to count for the UK CAA licence. Best move is to do both sets of exams in parallel, but I'm guessing you have more or less done that.

I think you'll find that you can do your training at any time, you just can't take the skill tests until you done the exams.

Thanks Alex, I've also had that confirmed from the ATO.

Yeah, I'm actually in your mod 3 revision group this week so hopefully end in sight for EASA anyway. Aiming for mod 3 CAA in parallel then mopping up CAA mod 1 & 2 afterwards. Ideally would have done all in parallel though annual leave limits were getting in the way.
