Guys.. FlyEPT IS very legit.

I don’t know why anyone would try to discredit the school especially when they have not been personally scammed.

It’s a TOTALLY REAL flight school here in Palma de Mallorca and even a really good one actually with competitive prices. Whoever manages their website might have some weird data registered on whois but it doesn’t mean the school is a scam guys…

I have myself flown recently on their Tecnam and can assure anyone reading this that Fly EPT is very real. It was a very nice experience and Ian the head of training is a super nice guy.

Just reach out yourself and you’ll see!

Thank you. It's tough enough for small flight schools to get "off the ground" (pun very much intended) without people accusing us of fraud or scams with no basis. www.flyeptspain.com is a DTO authorised by the Spanish CAA (AESA), E-DTO-088. Fly EPT Spain is a trading name of the company IGY22 Ltd who appear on our DTO registration in Spain. We have been based in Son Bonet Airport (LESB) since 2022. I've taken into account comments about the whois (outsourced web dev) and will address them but anyone who wants to come and see how much fun it is learning to fly on the beautiful island of Mallorca, should get in touch.

They are legit and I am talking to the same company in Portugal, I assume it's the same company. They've been incredibly helpful with information and getting me started. Remember though if you do your PPL in Europe, you can't fly in the UK! Your new EASA PPL license isn't valid there. You have to convert it to UKCAA AFTER you have flown 100 hours.

You can fly in UK airspace in an EASA reg aircraft, you just can't fly a G-reg aircraft in UK airspace without doing the 100hrs + validation route.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to hold both a UK AND EASA PPL? If one did their training in the UK, could they theoretically just sit the theory and skills test with an EASA ATO to get both?

yes it's possible but not in the way you describe. Some schools may have courses eligible for dual licencing, but most will have one authority, then after lcience issue you can get a second licence depending on your circumstances.

Hi everyone,

A quick update from May/June 2024.

After considerable comparissons with other flight schools across Europe, the USA and even South Africa, I chose Fly EPT to do my PPL. They offer a great solution for a very fair price. It is hard to find accelerated programs outside the USA and therefore Mallorca (besides being a beautiful Island) is a great solution for future pilots wanting to do an accelerated EASA PPL, with mostly favorable weather.

I've been with Fly EPT now for 2 weeks and have only positive things to say. Yes, they are a small and young growing school, but the instructors are a great bunch of people, very professional and try their best to do and give their best. There is always room for improvement anywhere in the aviation world. One such a thing might be; due to only 1 aircraft and it's weight limitation (I'm a big guy :) ) the scheduling of flight training can be a bit tricky at times, however that being said, both the Head of Flight Training as well as the other Instructors try their best to accomodate you whenever possible. I believe they are in the process of acquiring/leasing another aircraft, which will definitely help in this regard. As mentioned before, they are striving to get better and better. Something that nowadays is unfortunately often only secondary.

Sidenote: I have worked in ATC for 25 years in a couple of international busy airports and I like professionalism and attention to detail. I believe Fly EPT really ticks these boxes. They definitely have my thumbs up!

I'm glad to answer to any PM queries if there are any.https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....d40484b6f3.jpg

Hey everyone just found out about this post after finishing my PPL(A) with FLYEPT and it was great!
Flexible around my availability(I am a full-time cabin crew), great instructors (some are flying airliners), and a safe friendly environment to learn how to fly!
Recommended 100%
If you need any info don't hesitate to contact me, I had many doubts before starting my training regarding which school to choose.
Giulio
