APS MCC Versus Regular MCC
Hi guys,
I am finishing my CPL(A) and looking for what to do next, all opinions are valid, especially the ones involved with recruitment for EASA airlines. I wonder what are the advantages of APS MCC versus the regular one or JOC, if definitely makes a difference? Also, recommendations of schools where to do it in Europe, balancing good reputation if important, with prices and expected duration. I appreciate your input. Regards |
It seems that Ryanair is keen on the APS MCC, but other airlines don't really care about it. I haven't done either yet (just researching it myself), but it seems like the key difference is the APS MCC has a lot more time in the sim. This theoretically might mean you'll be more comfortable in the airline recruitment process, which includes a sim session.
JOC is jet orientation course. If the MCC simulator is a jet you can easily integrate this into it, but you can also do the MCC in a multi-crew turboprop aircraft (sim). Some airlines seem to list JOC as a prerequisite, some of them don't. |
