Hour Building Type Requirements
 

Can someone please put the record straight on what fixed wing categories are currently accepted by the CAA with regards to logging PIC time towards a CPL. I am keen if possible to go abroad and do some flying on Virus 121s or Jabiru (<600kg MTOW) types.

I have read wildly differing accounts online as to whether these are accepted and not sure if the B word has made any difference in the last few years. I am vaguely aware of the existence of the Part 21 category but have no idea of its real significance or how I would go about finding if a certain type falls into it.

As usual trying to extract a clear answer from CAA resources is blood from a stone kind of effort. Many thanks
